Plot Synopsis
The Master unfolds the journey of a Naval veteran, Freddie (Joaquin Phoenix), who arrives home from war unsettled and uncertain of his future until he is tantalised by The Cause and its charismatic leader, Lancaster Dodd (Philip Seymour Hoffman).
